Public Awareness
Drug Presentations
Project X presentation at ISU
Task Force 6 offers drug awareness presentations to the public and to first responders in the area.

Past presentations have been given to law enforcement agencies, court offices, school administrators and teachers, and building owner/property management companies. The photo to the left shows a 2004 presentation at Illinois State University, that outlined the kickoff of the statewide Project X campaign. Task Force 6 worked with other enforcement and treatment agencies during Project X, which focused on the usage and sale of illegal "club drugs" that were prevalent at that time.

Since 2002, officers from Task Force 6 have conducted over forty drug information presentations in Dewitt, McLean, Livingston, and LaSalle Counties. To inquire about scheduling a presentation please email us at

Billboard Campaign

Task Force 6 kicked off their first billboard campaign in December 2004 in the Dewitt, McLean, and Livingston county areas. The billboard advertising provided enhanced service to the public, sending the "message" of Task Force 6 via dynamic modern advertising as well as promoting the launch of this website.  Features that remain available today include information about Task Force 6, a utility for reporting drug activity, and public awareness / drug identification education.

Special thanks to Caterpillar who made this project possible and also Prairieland Credit Union and Photography by Kent.

The first billboard was displayed on December 10, 2004, at Empire/Hershey Streets in Bloomington. A picture of this billboard is shown above.
